Charles Raymond

Charles Raymond has over 40 years of experience operating government agencies, nonprofit organizations and corporate foundations, and has developed a strong knowledge base in financial planning, strategic planning, program development, fund raising, governance and program assessment and evaluation. During his career, he has been a leader in developing innovative programs in the areas of microfinance housing, homelessness, education, job training, financial education and the arts. Charles was a managing director and senior philanthropic advisor for Citigroup’s Family Office and Citigroup’s Private Bank from 2005 to 2006. He served as president of the Citigroup Foundation from 1998 to 2005. Prior to assuming this position, he was president of the Travelers Foundation. During his time at Travelers Group, Charles also held assignments as chief administrative officer for the legal department as well as vice president for training and operations.

Charles holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the Maxwell School at Syracuse University and attended graduate school at Syracuse University and New York University. He serves on the board of directors of the Bowery Residents’ Committee, The After-School Corporation, TOUCH Foundation and The Posse Foundation.
