Dana De Kanter

Dana de Kanter served as Executive Director of the Small Enterprise and Education Promotion (SEEP) Network from 1998 to 2006. During this time she increased the annual operating budget from $400,000 to almost $3 million, and increased membership in the network from 30 US and Canadian organization to over 70 members from around the world. She is a consultant with the Bill and Melinda Gates foundation, on the Board of Directors of Women Advancing Microfinance, and an advisor to the Board of Director’s Planning Committee at the Grameen Foundation USA. Dana has also worked as Research Analyst with the Academy for Education Development (AED) and as the Director of Women and Development programs for World Relief Corporation in Senegal, Burkina Faso, Mali, and West Africa.

Dana holds a BA in International Relations from the University of Minnesota and a MS in Economics from Eastern College in St. Davids, Pennsylvania.
