Jennifer von Bismarck is president and COO of TowPath Renewables, a specialty finance company based in Washington D.C. that develops and manages investment vehicles within the U.S. renewable energy sector. Along with her work in renewable energy, Jennifer has ten years of experience in structured finance. As part of these broader efforts, her company has acquired over $1.7 billion of assets and created over $700 million of new securities, including one program that provided over $250 million to members of the U.S. agriculture community. She has extensive experience working with the institutional capital markets to create new classes of securities to finance innovative ventures.
Prior to her career in structured finance, Jennifer founded a Washington, D.C.-based company that imported products from Asia and marketed and distributed them throughout the United States. Before launching her company, she worked for the China Europe International Business School, writing case studies on Sino-foreign joint ventures. Before her work in Asia, Jennifer was based in Kirkland, Washington, as the second team member brought in to manage the personal net worth of Microsoft Chairman Bill Gates.
Jennifer holds a bachelor’s degree from Mount Holyoke College and an MBA from Cornell University.
