Bailey Butzberger

As part of Microfinance Opportunities’ financial education team, Bailey Butzberger helps to develop financial education curricula and modify existing curricula to better suit local contexts. She also contributes to the design and implementation of the organization’s “Training of Trainers” workshops and provides input on how to best adapt financial education messages for different media, including comic books, radio programs and video games.

Before joining Microfinance Opportunities, Bailey spent two years as a small enterprise development volunteer with the U.S. Peace Corps in Cameroon, where she formed village savings and loans groups and trained field staff. She also worked with microfinance institutions and their clients on income-generating activities and loan repayments, and taught local business courses on topics such as feasibility studies, accounting, marketing and budgeting. Prior to that, she worked as a marketing associate for SG Systems in Dallas, TX.

Bailey holds a Bachelor of Science degree in public relations from the University of Texas.
