Eric Bell is the Director of Corporate Development at Gannett, owner of USA Today, ReachLocal and 109 local media outlets including the Arizona Republic, Indianapolis Star, and Detroit Free Press. At Gannett, Eric helps oversee all digital media M&A and strategic investment activities.
Prior to joining Gannett, Eric was an investment banker and growth equity investor at AGC Partners, Clearsight Advisors and Blue Delta Capital Partners where he focused focused on cyber security, big data and enterprise software. Eric is a self-described “recovering entrepreneur” having spent three years leading an angel-backed startup, YoBucko, helping young Americans find the best financial products and services online. Eric started his career in banking at Citigroup in New York.
Eric earned his undergraduate degree at Hendrix College and his MBA from Georgetown University. He resides in Arlington, Virginia, and has been a member of the Microfinance Opportunities Board of Directors since 2010.
