Adolescent girls are defined by the UN as girls between the ages of 10 and 19 years old. As a group, they are generally considered to be more vulnerable and less confident than others.
Clients/Consumers
When MFO refers to consumers it usually means consumers of financial services – people who use their services. In the same way, clients are clients of financial service providers.
Farmers
Farmers are agricultural producers who are not simply laborers working for someone else. MFO has a particular interest in working with smallholder farmers.
Financial Counsellors
Financial counsellors are individuals who provide financial counselling, which is typically provided in one-on-one settings in which a counsellor provides information and advice specific to an individual’s financial situation.

Microentrepreneurs are individuals who own and operate micro-enterprises. The definition of a micro-enterprise varies from country to country, but in most cases they are very small business with fewer than five or no employees.
